The VF61R Regenerative Converter converts the VF61 Series of AC drives to
4 quadrant line regenerative type controls. AC motors can now be used for
applications where previously regenerative type DC drives could only be
used. Large, inefficient dynamic brake resistors are not required with this
energy saving line regenerator.

VFDB Dynamic Brake Module (277KB) load PDF
Separately mounted DC shunt regulator module designed to extend braking
cycles and braking power beyond the standard 20% offered by the drive itself.
VFDB modules operate on demand once the DC bus voltage exceeds a preset
value; normally, 380VDC for 230VAC systems and 760VDC for 480 VAC systems.
